An introduction to Adobe Illustrator:
- The Adobe Illustrator interface
- Creating & editing simple shapes
- Drawing custom shapes
- Working with colours, patterns and gradients

- Creative effects
- Purchasing and editing template files
- Creating a business card
- Creating a letterhead and comp slip
Who this course is for:
- Non-Designers who want to learn how to create a brand from scratch
- Company directors who hire designers and want to learn what’s involved in the process and how to better communicate their brief
What to expect from the course:
Our instructor will spend time with each individual to discuss their needs and advise them with creative tips and techniques. Delegates will leave the course with an idea for what their brand should look like and the message they want to convey. They will also have the skills to create a simple logo and stationary package.
Software package used:
We will use Adobe Illustrator, the software package used by professional designers to create graphics. In order to continue working with the files after the course, you will need to purchase the software. There are special charity rates and also 30-day free trial versions available.
