Biography
Nick is an accomplished and experienced industry practitioner and trainer in a wide range of video editing, motion graphics, web development and multimedia software packages. As a trainer he creates a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment that is responsive to clients with different learning needs and skills. Helping clients to realise their creative ideas is a particularly rewarding aspect of his profession.
Nick was brought up and educated in Australia where he studied theatre arts, partnered in setting up a graphic design business and designed and ran the first QaNTM Diploma of Multimedia course at Cairns Institute of TAFE before returning to the UK in 2001. Since then, he has developed and delivered a wide range of up to date media software courses suitable for all abilities.
Nick started working in the graphic design industry in the early 1990s and moved into multimedia in 1997 after completing a Diploma in this area. The early projects were CD Rom based e-learning materials and touch screen kiosks which involved video editing, graphic design, animation, audio editing and authoring interactive applications. As the web developed from the late 90s to the present day Nick has been keeping up to date with new technologies as they come along.
He has been working as a multimedia trainer since 1998. He worked as a full time trainer for 8 years at Media Training Ltd, 3 and a half years at QaNTM Australia CMC and 1 year as a Tutor for Southbank Institute of Technology.
